Richard Morris has more than 17 years of professional business experience. He is a versatile and results-focused franchise industry expert with experience across diverse industry segments. As a sales and development executive, he combines innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit with strong business acumen and outstanding relationship-building qualities. Mr. Morris has a proven ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive revenue and grow profits. He is adept in all phases of the franchise development cycle as well as all core business operations. As Senior Vice President of Operations & Development for the Franchise Development Division at City Wide Development Group Inc., he oversees operations, training development, business strategies, franchise sales, and e-business. He is recognized by his peers for his expertise in strategic planning, project management, franchise operations, business development, budgeting, sales and marketing, operations management, team building and leadership, e-business, negotiations, real estate site selection, policies and processes, new business/branch launches, cost containment, and revenue optimization. In recognition of his achievements, Mr. Morris was the first recipient of the Chairman's Award for Outstanding Support from Cendant/Jackson Hewitt's Board of Directors. He was also inducted into Cendant/Jackson Hewitt's President's Club, named Rookie of the Year by Cendant Hotels, and inducted into Cendant Hotels' President's Club. Mr. Morris attributes his success to his knowledge of the franchising industry.

One of the highlights of his career was becoming involved as a Franchise Congress member of the International Franchise Association, because it is a way for him to personally give back to small and mid-size entrepreneurial business owners. As a Franchise Congress member, Mr. Morris takes personal time to speak to local U.S. senators and members of Congress about legislation that could affect the business community either positively or negatively, and is committed to helping provide solutions that will turn the economy around in a positive way.

Mr. Morris is pursuing a mini-MBA from the International Institute for Franchise Education at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. He completed two years toward his AGS while attending Lane Community College, and also attended the 21st Century Leadership Program at Nova Southeastern University. He is a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) through the International Franchise Association's Institute of Certified Franchise Executives, and a Certified Home Furnishings Representative (CHR), through High Point University and the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association.

Mr. Morris is a member of the International Franchise Association's Franchise Congress and the International Institute for Franchise Education at H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Morris previously served as President, Governor, and Board Member of the Northwest International Home Furnishings Retailer Association. He was also on the Accreditation Board of Education for the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association's CHR Institute.
