Beginning September 2, the chain's breakfast menu will feature the new Veggie Melt Egg Sandwich, featured for a limited time only this fall. At just 320 calories, the flavorful sandwich features red and green peppers, red onions, melted Swiss cheese and a zesty tomato sauce, all grilled to perfection on a slice of freshly baked Honey Wheat Bread. The vegetarian option is full of zesty flavor but low in calories - the perfect combination for a cool fall morning.

For even more health appeal, Bruegger's guests can now choose to order egg whites instead of eggs in the Veggie Melt Egg Sandwich or any of the bakery cafe's breakfast wraps or sandwiches. Perfect for health-oriented guests or those on special diets, the egg white patties greatly reduce cholesterol and fat in any meal - without sacrificing taste. The popular breakfast menu offers a wide range of choices under 500 calories. With low fat and low cholesterol options, all are free of transfats and high in fiber.
The Veggie Melt Egg Sandwich is the first signature breakfast sandwich served on Bruegger's freshly baked bread. The chain added signature lunch sandwiches in early 2009 to complement its wide range of fresh-baked bagels. Guests have embraced the new menu that includes cold signature sandwiches and grilled panini.
