Bruegger's Adds International Flair
Beginning September 2, Bruegger's lunch menu will feature the exotic flavors of the Caribbean along with the familiar spices of the American southwest.
DALLAS, TX, September 08, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This fall a trip to Bruegger's Bakery Cafe will take you beyond the ordinary, as the popular bakery cafe rolls out two new sandwich options. Beginning September 2, Bruegger's lunch menu will feature the exotic flavors of the Caribbean along with the familiar spices of the American southwest. Prepared on Bruegger's freshly baked bread, the Havana Chicken Panini and Smokey Southwest Chicken Sandwich are sure to satisfy the appetite - and the wanderlust.
The two sandwiches are available throughout the fall.
The Havana Chicken Panini reprises the popular Cuban-style sandwich with layers of chicken, ham, Swiss cheese and pickles dressed with mustard and a specially-created Havana sauce. Served on Bruegger's Hearty White bread, the sandwich is pressed to perfection and served hot and spicy. The Smokey Southwest Chicken takes its cues from a Tex-Mex fajita, starting with sliced chicken breast and topped with grilled red and green peppers, red onions, jalapeno cream cheese and southwest pesto - all served on Honey Wheat bread. With their rich flavors, the sandwiches are a perfect way to cut the chill in the air.
"This summer we brought the flavors of Sienna to our guests," says Bruegger's Executive Chef, Phillip Smith. "For the fall we know our guests will like a reminder of the warm nights of the Caribbean and Southwest."
In early 2009, Executive Chef Smith added a host of signature sandwiches and panini served on freshly-baked bread to Bruegger's extensive menu. The signature Tarragon Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Turkey Toscana Panini, served all year, have already become guest favorites, along with several classic bagel sandwiches such as the Herby Turkey. For guests that choose a simpler fare, the fast-casual chain always builds tailor-made hot or cold sandwiches using a wide variety of healthy ingredients.
"We love our old favorites," said Bruegger's CEO Jim Greco. "But we also like try out new flavors that offer our guests great lunch options at a good value."
Bruegger's will also offer new breakfast options this fall including a new breakfast sandwich, called the Veggie Melt Egg Sandwich, and now offers egg whites as an option for health-oriented guests to substitute in any of the chain's popular breakfast sandwiches and wraps.
