Atlanta-based Family Pizza Chain Hires Experienced, Youthful Pizza Industry Executive to Lead Company's Growth

In his new role, Loney is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's corporate and franchise operations, including the chain's existing 30 expansion and .

Prior to joining Stevi B's, Loney was vice president and general counsel for Mellow Mushroom, an Atlanta-based pizza chain. In addition, Loney was a partner at the Alston and Bird Law firm in Atlanta. It is at this law that Loney became interested in the business opportunities in the franchising world.
The planned growth of Stevi B's builds upon the chain's momentum established in 2008. Since the beginning of the year, Stevi B's has signed development agreements to add 18 new locations to the franchise system. Included in the agreements is a pair of multiunit deals with experienced restaurant operators which will add a total of 13 new restaurants along Florida's eastern and southern coasts during the next three years.
Already in 2008, new Stevi B's franchise locations have opened in Gadsden, Alabama, Cleveland, Tennessee and Chesterfield Township, Michigan. Before the end of the year franchised units are slated to open in Cartersville, Georgia and Southaven, Michigan, and in early-2009 in Winder, Georgia, Gainesville, Georgia and West Palm Beach, Florida. A new corporate-owned restaurant in Columbia, South Carolina is also slated to open before the end of this year.
"My short term goal as president is to put a lot of focus on supporting our existing franchisees through product purchases, marketing and store design," said Loney. "It is an exciting time to join the team and I look forward to helping grow the company."
Loney's development plans for Stevi B's includes seven to nine new locations in 2009.
Loney earned his BA degree in [insert major] from Iowa State University and acquired his law degree from the University of Iowa.
