Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana Opens Shop in Portage
/Franchise News Articles/ - WACO, TX, May 09, 2008 - The Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana shop in Portage is now open for business and ready to "fix your panes! "
The Portage shop, located at 5351 E. U.S. Hwy. 6, will offer the same glass repair and replacement services customers have come to expect from the original shop in Valparaiso. In business since 2006, Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana offers residential, automotive, and commercial glass repair and replacement services to Lake, LaPorte and Porter counties.
Both Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana shops are open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. - noon on Saturday. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day upon request.
"We're excited to offer our customers in Portage a local solution to their glass services needs," said Ron and Jane Maxey, co-owners of Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana. "We have a passion for safe, professional windshield installation. We use the best products in the industry and we have nationally certified technicians. We take great care with our customers' vehicles to ensure that things are done right and that occupant safety will never be compromised."
Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana glass service technicians are certified by the National Glass Association (NGA). Both the new shop in Portage and the existing shop in Valparaiso are accredited by the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards (AGRSS) council, the only national standard for safe windshield replacement.
"We guarantee our work because we're proud of our team," Ron Maxey said. "We offer our customers peace of mind with our lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship, as well as our exclusive warranty. That can save our customers money down the line."
G12 is a 12-month guarantee on windshield replacement. If an OEM replacement windshield that a Glass Doctor franchise has installed is damaged or broken within 12 months of the replacement date, the Glass Doctor shop will repair or replace the windshield glass only at no additional charge to the customer.
"We're also very excited about our residential services," Jane Maxey said. "In addition to repairing broken windows, we'll also bring our new services, especially entry door replacement glass. New entry door glass is a great option for people who are looking to make a simple improvement to their homes to increase their values in a tough housing market. We can install new entry door glass within a few days, rather than the usual five weeks or more."
Some of the popular door glass inserts include double-pane windows with sliding blinds between the panes, decorative glass with matching side window panes, all-weather glass that meets or exceeds Dade Co., Fla., regulations, and energy-efficient glass.
The new shop in Portage also will offer the high level of service Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana commercial, industrial, institutional and government customers expect. Business services include 24-hour emergency board-up, which secures a building after storms or vandalism.
"We are committed to servicing our local businesses with door and window repair, and even middle-of-the-night emergency response," Ron Maxey said. "We know how important it is to get the customer back in business quickly. We're excited to be in Portage and look forward to being an integral part of the Portage business community."
